ABOUTTHE EXPERT

Jason Averbook is a global thought leader, keynote speaker, author, and future of work visionary on human resources, digital experience, and workforce technology. Currently a Senior Partner and Global HR Transformation Leader at Mercer, Jason has spent three decades advising executives, HR; people functions, and technology solution providers. He also drives Mercer’s global Generative AI strategy and services, spearheading innovative solutions across the HR technology landscape.

Jason has personally guided more than 1,000 HR transformations and deployments for some of the largest, most prestigious organisations in the world. He is the accomplished author of two books illustrating innovative approaches to HR, workforce experience, and digital transformation. From 2018 to 2023, Jason co-founded and served as CEO of Leapgen, a consultancy committed to helping organisations shape the digital workplace. In his expanded role with Mercer, Jason continues to challenge executive mindsets and advocate for digital-first cultures where business and people outcomes mutually flourish.

MODULE 01

BUILDING TRANSFORMATION ENDURANCE IN THE AGE OF AI

GOAL : TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO BUILD TRANSFORMATION READINESS AND ENDURANCE IN THE AGE OF AI

Overview
This module empowers participants to reframe their approach to transformation—from project-based thinking to building organizational and individual transformation endurance. Participants will explore how AI is redefining workflows and what it means to be future-ready. Using Jason Averbook’s framework, this session helps diagnose readiness, build leadership capacity, and shape a long-term vision for adaptive transformation.
Activity

Transformation Readiness Self-Assessment:
Using a diagnostic tool, participants will evaluate where their organization lies on the "Next Curve of Change."

Group Scenario Mapping:
Breakout teams will explore different AI-led workplace scenarios (e.g., HR automation, talent acquisition with GenAI, skills-based orgs) and how transformation muscles (mindset, toolset, etc.) must respond.

Endurance Strategy Canvas:
Teams will map transformation blockers, enablers, and priority focus areas to build organizational muscle.

Expected
Outcomes
Understand the shift from episodic change to continuous transformation.
Learn a framework for diagnosing transformation readiness in your team/org.
Identify blockers (e.g., leadership habits, systems, culture) and enablers.
Leave with a visual “Endurance Strategy Canvas” to guide ongoing change efforts.

MODULE 02

FROM CHANGE FATIGUE TO CHANGE FITNESS

GOAL : TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO LEAD THROUGH DISRUPTION WITH CONFIDENCE AND EMPATHY

Overview
This module takes a fitness-oriented approach to building transformation capabilities. Rather than succumbing to change fatigue, leaders will explore how to build change fitness—a proactive, sustainable, and engaging capacity for navigating ongoing disruption. Participants will learn and apply the “leadership equation” and build a pivot plan to lead their teams with confidence and compassion.
Activity

Leadership Equation Workshop:
Apply the formula (mindset + heartset + skillset + toolset) to real leadership challenges. Identify where your “muscles” are strongest or need training.

AI + Human Collaboration Role-Play:
Practice real-life teaming scenarios across HR, operations, and business functions, simulating collaboration between AI systems and human decision-makers.

Pivot Plan Sprint:
Each participant designs a personal and team-level pivot plan using a structured template focused on leading through continuous change.

Expected
Outcomes

Reframe fatigue into fitness using a strengths-based leadership approach.

Learn to build human + machine collaboration practices that are empowering, not overwhelming.

Develop a personal “pivot plan” to enable resilience, agility, and alignment during disruption.

Understand how to lead with empathy and precision in fast-changing environments.
